What is Cerebral Palsy???
Cerebral Palsy is a form of paralysis caused by a defect of the brain because of injury during birth. This effects difficulty in control of muscles in your body.
Enchance
The New Jersey Institute of Technology biomedical engineers will be using a new type of technology to help the all the children in the world that have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This new technology will be able to improve their problems with movements, be able to revive stiffness in their joints and be able to live more independent lives without the use of assistants. In this type of technology there was a new method made to help the children with cerebral palsy. The technology involves little small robots that will be mounted on wheelchairs of children, it also includes interactive video games and a robotic arm that can be programmed to guide and aid human motion will help improve muscular control and movements among children with Cerebral Palsy. The engineers will also introduce some other technologies to help the cerebral palsy patients better overcome difficulties presented on a daily basis.
Retrieves
This has retrieved from past technologies from machines that had been used too help kids with Cerebral Palsy in clinics can be a variety of solutions. Some ranging from machines to braces and more for Physical and Mental therapies. Examples are bracing for limbs, abduction pillows, and knee immobilizers. Hands on techniques are good techniques used in physical therapy for Cerebral Palsy patients.
Obsolesce
Cerebral palsy patient have difficulty with the way they walk, play and perform manual tasks because of the limited use of their arms caused by discorrrdination of their neural motor control and stiffness of their joints from spasticity. NJIT researchers have been working with a robotic arm to help stroke patients overcome spasticity and relearn movements to allow independent living, and the researchers believe the robot can be adapted so children with Cerebral palsy patients can benefit from the technology. A cerebral palsy patient will be able to hold onto the robot’s arm, which is programmed to perform intense, repetitive arm and finger motions. The children can do the exercises while watching virtual reality games on a computer that guide their motions and make the therapy more fun. A computerized cable hand will also be able to help the children move their paralyzed fingers. By repeating the motions and exercises the children’s brains can eventually be retrained, improving the patient’s manual coordination.
Reverse
The factors that this invention will reverse when pushed to it outer limit because it will help with all of the kids or teenagers that have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. The less resent technologies are also a very good treatment for patients but the new technologies for Cerebral Palsy are also good for treatment to get though the tough times of the people that have Cerebral Palsy.
